Executive Overview & Mission
Ak-Talaa is a remote, high-altitude district in Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn region facing severe economic isolation and harsh winter climates. The acute shortage of rural income causes massive youth out-migration to foreign labor markets, fracturing families and draining local community vitality. The mission is establishing a self-sustaining agricultural anchor enterprise. By proving modern livestock profitability and creating permanent rural jobs, the project provides young men with viable careers at home, keeping families united.
The Social Enterprise Model
The venture operates as a collaborative social enterprise between agricultural specialists and local mountain farmers. The core operational milestone is a structured two-cycle pilot testing innovative, cost-effective winter sheep feed to minimize cold-season livestock weight loss and mortality. Flock expansion accelerates commercial livestock market sales. Operating profits directly fund local shepherd salaries, feed production, and community initiatives designed to anchor vulnerable youth in the regional economy.
Kingdom Culture & Community Impact
The enterprise models biblical stewardship and marketplace righteousness in a remote mountain valley. Management enforces honest accounting, fair wage structures, and ethical pasture management, transforming predatory rural labor customs into dignified partnership. By providing steady livelihoods, the farm allows young fathers to remain with their children, mitigating broken homes and cultivating Kingdom values of diligence, integrity, and mutual care across the village.
